Autonomous vehicles are one of the most promising technologies in the 2020s. For urban planners, this technology will undoubtedly bring an unprecedented revolution to one of the heartbeats of the urban fabric: transportation.

The adoption of driverless technology will become a necessary means to improve the capacity of metropolitan areas and urban efficiency. However, the disadvantaged groups in society have not received enough attention. Under the influence of driverless technology, it is expected that urban structure reform will improve the quality of life and experience of disadvantaged groups.
